Our fashionable Safety Bells are made with a strong, solid brass bell mounted on high quality leather with an easy to use swivel snap. Also known as "Bear Bells" or "Bike Bells", the snap can simply attach to a collar, lead, clothing, walking stick, saddle, backpack, bike or any other device. Great gift for hikers, equestrians and cyclists. This is a very important safety trail tool.

When you're in the woods it's a good idea to let large critters such as bears know you're in the area so you don't accidentally get to close and spook them. The safety bell surely fits the bill in that regard. Well constructed, good looking and nice sound (comes with a #1 bell). The swivel snap is made to last. I highly recommend it.
I did change the bell from a #1 to a #2 and I like it even better. The #1 was a little high pitched for me. I tested a #3 as well and I thought it was a little to loud when attached to my pack. I would certainly recommend the safety bell as is but I think it's even better with the #2 bell. Definitely get one.

Love these bells, received a door hanger, the horse, the sound that it makes is fantastic. Had to purchase some for friends so they can enjoy them too! Can't wait to hear from my friend in Montana after she hears the bells for the saddle and how they sound when riding In the mountains. Safety and Great sound!!!

Our Lab loves to trek through the woods and sometimes decides to explore on her own. We hope this bell will help us keep better track of her. Appreciate the quality of this product and I'm sure it will outlive us all.

I am much more comfortable letting my Walker Coonhound run off leash since I've attached the bells to her harness. I have a "high tech" device with GPS monitoring but this is my "low tech" device for close brush hunting that she does.

I bought this bell to hike with during hunting season. My hope is that even if hunters don't see the orange vest they will at least hear the bell ringing. I clipped it to my fanny pack and it rings as I walk, but I actually shake it on and off as I walk too--just to make extra sure I'm making a lot of noise. This is a high quality product and extremely well made. I would recommend it--and the bells I bought for my dogs--to everyone.

I live in a very remote, rural, forested area near Mt. Rainier Nat'l Park, I walk and hike the roads and trails with my goats several times a week. I wanted something I could wear on my person or backpack that would announce my presence without being intrusive to my surroundings. New England Bells have the nicest tone to them, I've ordered bells for my 2 Alpine goats, I bought them each a Dog Collar Bell, in two different sizes so their 'ring' is distinctive to each goat. Like their website says: 'the bells emit a sound that is easily heard from a distance, even in thick grasses', I can honestly say this is true. I recently finished 30 miles of the PCT in Washington State with 2 other women and they too have bought their own New England Safety Bells because they could hear my bell and knew where I was on the trail. You won't find a better quality, handmade bell anywhere, the craftsmanship is excellent.
